Job Description

The Slot Analyst assists the Slot Department Management team in delivering a world class slot experience to guests of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Accountable for the analysis of slot product to maximize profitability, and ensure compliance with Gaming Regulations.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: 

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist with new business initiatives, improvements in practices and procedures to reduce costs and maximize revenue, provide service enhancements to guests, and/or reduce unnecessary or duplicate work. Collaborate with department operators and Senior Management to review monthly P&L performance, forecasts, identify risks and opportunities. Participate in analytical studies including NPV, lease vs. buy, SWOT, capability briefings, G&A cost optimization, business process engineering, and capital allocation. Provide technical support for budgetary, administrative, and statistical gaming, non-gaming, and headcount formulation activities.   Process Slot Conversion Paperwork. Analyze and create weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as needed. Process and complete Slot Lease payment verifications weekly and monthly with accuracy. Actively monitor the progress and location of Slot Contract Agreements through our purchasing / legal process. Generate Slot Performance Reports and subsequently review on a weekly/monthly basis. Running & formatting SBx Analytics data. Provide event tracking reports for slot marketing events and host booking. Ad Hoc Marketing Reporting. Slot Event Assistance – Scorekeeping, Database maintenance, Registrations. Assist Marketing, Operations, and Technical departments as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: Possess, or be able to obtain a Gaming LVMPD work card. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management and employees. Pleasant personality, team oriented and enjoys working with and assisting people. Proven ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. Excellent organizational skills. Proven experience working in a methodical, and detailed oriented environment. Polished appearance and demeanor. Excellent customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to successfully lead and mentor a team. Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules policies, procedures and state & federal regulatory requirements. At least 21 years of age.

Preferred: Casino Experience. Minor SQL and Microsoft Access knowledge College Graduate equivalent experience.

Transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 25 lbs. Eye/hand coordination. Use of standard office equipment. Basic math. Ability to push and/or pull file cabinet drawers weighing up to 5 lbs. The ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
