Essential Job Functions: Know all emergency procedures (fire, severe weather, bomb threats, guests accident/illness, etc.) Train all associates in the food & beverage department how to perform their job duties to the best of their abilities while providing then with the necessary tools and equipment to do so. Scheduling, evaluating, and directing personnel. Interview and hire new personnel when need. Conduct regularly scheduled training sessions on food & beverage products, service processes, and safe work habits. Assist in any way needed to the Food & Beverage Director. Ask for assistance from the manager when needed. Advise the Food & Beverage Director of problems and needs on a daily basis; utilize all available resources to maximize profits and develop quality service. Keep open communication between leadership and associates. Provide disciplinary action when, and if, necessary. Take immediate action on problems that are encountered in the banquet department of Food & Beverage Outlets. Assist in accountability for achieving cost goals in the areas of sales, labor, and expenses. Specifically beverage cost and controls. Organize, oversee, and participate in the physical set up of all banquet activities as indicated on the banquet event orders. Responsible for the ensuring the maintenance and proper handling of all banquet equipment. Take on full responsibility for managing shifts in the food & Beverage outlets. Responsible for the care, handling and storage of all restaurant equipment. Report and shortages of equipment to the Food & Beverage Director. Enforce Alcohol awareness. Conduct self to reflect the high standards or professionalism within the organization and hotel. Reports to: Food & Beverage Director
Purpose of the Position:
To assist in managing the smooth, friendly, and efficient operation of the Banquet Department and the Food and Beverage Outlets. Responsible to direct the staffing of these areas consistent with volume of business & needs.
What we are looking for Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations as it relates to food and liquor, ensuring restaurant staff have all been trained in responsible alcohol service.
