Job Description

Summary: Performs HRIS and benefit related duties as support to the client service group.

Essential Job Functions : Maintain HRIS system in relation to all Team Member transactions, benefit administration, compensation and self-service applications. Administer, direct, and review employee benefit programs. Partner with the HRBP Team, Payroll, Information Technology and other operating departments to fully utilize systems and data.  Daily administration of the company’s health and welfare plans, including the medical, prescription, dental, vision, life, non-work related disability, 401k, FSA and COBRA benefit plans. Daily administration of the company’s leave of absence programs including FMLA, company Medical Leave and Personal Leave. Ensures that records, files and electronic tracking systems are maintained accurately to ensure compliance according to company and regulator policies and procedures. Identify training needs, develop training tools and facilitates training for systems. Coordinates the enrollment of team members in various company benefits. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all benefit information in the HRIS system. Responsible for the timely review and processing of information related to benefits enrollments, deductions, coverage amounts, qualifying events, and other coverage related information. Participates in the analysis of benefit plan design intelligence. Makes recommendations to support company goals and maximize plan effectiveness and competitiveness. Assist HRBP team with benefits information and to answer all team member questions and claims. Reviews and reconciles all of the benefit billing. Updates all changes to billing as needed to ensure accuracy. Receive and forward all billing check requests for payments to the Vice President of Human Resources for approval. Deliver benefits presentations during orientation, monthly benefits and annual open enrollment meetings. Maintain close communication with all team members regarding insurance changes and educate team members on utilization of health coverage. Process all death claims for benefits due by completing all necessary forms and forwarding them to the proper carrier for payment. Ensures timely completion of necessary paperwork and maintenance of records. Create and run benefits related reports in Cognos. Maintains employment status reports and necessary changes based on hours worked on a regularly established basis. Creates and distributes reports to leadership, state and government agencies and the PGCB in specified formats as needed. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Bachelor’s degree preferred Three or more years related experience required. Advanced knowledge of HRIS systems, preferably with ADP. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Must be able to work with high volumes of confidential information in a professional manner. Must be experienced with employee benefits, including health insurance, 401K, disability, FMLA, COBRA, FSA and other work related benefits. Computer skills required using database, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software. Must be detailed oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests. Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including occasional nights, holidays and weekends. Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.

 

Physical and Mental Demands: Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. Must occasionally lift up to 10 pounds. Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor.
