As a Busperson in Room Service, you will juggle multiple responsibilities behind the scenes creating a personalized experience. Your accommodating personality and ability to balance needs of a diverse clientele will be a welcome support facilitating an operation that will surprise and delight guests during every stay.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Keep room service line area stocked with china, flatware, glassware, condiments, etc. Set up station in room service with proper racks, linen, hampers and bus tubs. Responsible for obtaining daily supplies from storeroom and kitchen area to ensure shelves are stocked with all required supplies. Stock and maintain all equipment and food products in proper storerooms and room service holding area. Check hotel halls, corridors and other designated areas for any soiled items. Complete clearing of assigned guest floors of In Room Dining tables/trays. Return all dirty room service debris to kitchen breakdown area for breakdown and washing. Clean and restock all usable condiments, salt and pepper shakers and sugar cadies to proper station on set-up line. Clean and reset tables as they come out from room service breakdown area. Responsible for working hot food pick-up station, pantry pick-up station, toast station, juice and beverage station, condiment station, final check point. Act as a team member with venue Host, Supervisors, Food Servers and Kitchen employees in maintaining smooth and efficient operations. Adhere to established grooming and appearance standards, including maintaining a clean and well-maintained uniform. Other duties as assigned.
Required: At least six months of experience in a bar, lounge, nightclub or full service restaurant in a luxury resort setting. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English. Excellent customer service skills. Polished appearance and demeanor. Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures. At least 18 years of age.
Preferred: Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting. High school diploma or equivalent.
