We are seeking to hire a Buyer to join our team located in our Pleasanton, CA facility.
Primary Responsibility:
The Buyer is responsible for purchasing and planning material requirements to ensure product flow to production floor.
Specific Duties:
In this role, you will: Track & update Supplier’s responses in MRP on Purchase Orders. Perform administrative work for purchasing activities. Interacts closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues. Support the buyer team with overflow from the uptick in business. Support the global factory purchasing team to communicate and negotiate with suppliers. Must be willing to work on many different projects and be able to step in right away. Interface with all levels of planning, manufacturing, quality, engineer, our global factory teams, and suppliers.

Education/Experience: A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED with 5 years’ experience or a Bachelor Degree A minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in purchasing/supply chain, and in a Robotics environment
Special Requirements: Effective negotiations skills Should have MRP knowledge & experience Occasional travel may be required

Identifies opportunities for innovation and offers new ideas. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required. Experience with Microsoft Project is preferred.

Physical Requirements/Physical Activities:
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is often required to talk, hear at normal speaking levels, to carry, lift, push, pull sit up to 50lb and use their hands and fingers to type, handle or feel, including repetitive motions with the wrists, hands and fingers. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crouch and stoop, as well as reach and grasp with arms and hands, this is a sedentary position involving sitting most of the time. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for extensive computer use, reading and visual inspections.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The position is subject to hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, and exposure to chemicals. The position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
