Job Description

As a Case Worker I at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas you will assist the COVID Incident Response Team with exuding confidence through a rare combination of a strong mind and gentle heart. The Case Worker I is an essential part of keeping the employees and guests at the resort safe and healthy.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

Duties include, but are not limited, to the following: Interact with employee and department leadership in response to COVID-19 related inquiries, such as reporting COVID or flu-like symptoms or potential exposure to COVID-19 Conduct interviews with employees, communicate with department leadership, and perform Contact Tracing protocols related to COVID-19 Create and manage case logs based on email/phone inquiries and reports Maintain accurate records on employee case logs for all COVID-19 related issues and inquiries, all the way through to case closure or resolution Refer escalated cases to Case Manager II or Team Lead for resolution Advise employees on COVID-19 testing and vaccination protocols Maintain regular communication with employees and department leaders as part of case management duties Manage the employee's return to work process after quarantine/isolation ends, and send all relevant notifications for employees who have completed their quarantine/isolation period Follow all documented processes and protocols related to case management and Contact Tracing, in alignment with the most up-to-date guidance from Local, State, and Federal government agencies. Knowledge of other processes and procedures in the CIRT team, including the triage of phone calls and emails and texts to the CIRT hotline and inbox. Assist with special projects as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, ADP or other HRIS systems, BOX or document cloud systems, and DocuSign. Ability to exhibit a professional, positive attitude and work ethic. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with employees, partners, and leaders. Ability to show empathy to distressed individuals. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Critical thinking and sound judgment. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Polished appearance and demeanor. Excellent customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules policies, procedures and state & federal regulatory requirements. At least 21 years of age. Preferred: Prior experience in a public health or case management capacity. Bilingual English/Spanish.
