Job Description

ASRC Federal Mission Solutions is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Control Account Manager to work in the Moorestown, NJ office.


Responsibilities:

The Control Account Manager is responsible for the cost and schedule of the software development efforts in the Weapons subsystem of the Aegis Weapon System developed by AFMS. Plan and control functional teams and project finances through negotiation with project managers, business managers and functional managers. Tracks, performs analysis, and find trends in project cost data utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM). Responsible for managing the software effort utilizing and maintaining compliance with the applicable ANSI standards. Assimilating management information to write reports detailing variances from the performance measurement baseline. Developing specific, actionable corrective action plans to overcome challenges. Perform risk and opportunity management on scoped tasks and provide inputs, including mitigation steps to the program and risk manager. Effectively communicating operating philosophy, objectives, and expectations to staff. Ensuring compliance with the terms of the customer statement of work (SOW). Developing/presenting formal presentations for the customer and internal management.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering Management or related discipline or equivalent related work experience. MBA, Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar advanced accreditation preferred. US Citizenship in order to obtain and maintain a Secret government security clearance. 5 - 7 years of software development management experience with Government Contracting environment preferred. Ability to perform budget planning, project planning and resource management for projects. Knowledge and understanding of project management terminology is required. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle. Ability to manage software efforts of similar size, scope, and complexity in a timely manner while controlling costs. Experience operating in an Agile environment (SAFE) preferred. Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Experience using agile development methodologies and experience tracking progress against plans using agile techniques a plus. Excellent communication skills with employees at all levels of the organization. Ability to multi-task and assess priorities in a complex and demanding environment. Resolving problems and or conflicts and maintaining open communication with the customer and Sr. management.
