The Customer Service Representative is responsible taking care of customer inquiries regarding orders, Boral services, products, and quality claims by phone and online.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Comply with Boral Safety Policies and Procedures Servicing inbound and initiating outbound customer service calls to ensure that customer inquiries are answered in a timely, accurate and perceived as superior manner, by Boral customer base. The types of calls include: Order Pricing and quotes Technical product support Customer Complaints Deliveries Product availability Order changes E-Commerce/Boral Website Sample orders Support data entry into SAP in compliance with Boral procedures for order handling Enter customer complaints into the Boral database, resolve customer complaints through Boral approval matrix Assist customers with changes in orders by obtaining good dates and ensuring optimum availability to customers and efficiency to supply chain and production operations Maintain customer records, reporting and correspondences, relating to customer service functions Input customer sample orders within company guidelines Contribute to team and department efforts to achieve metrics and related results Communicate effectively and tactfully with Boral customers and employees All other duties as assigned by supervisor Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Computer skills: MS Office, SAP (preferred) SAP, MM, or SD knowledge and experience required
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following: High School Diploma or equivalent 1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant field
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to: Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out Prolong standing or in stationary position Complete repetitive movements Bend and/or twist Lift/move/transport items up to 25 pounds
