Customer Service Representative

POSITION: Transfer Clerk

SUMMARY: Provides business office clerical assistance by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Assist the Buyers with the transfer process (setting up and keying transfers from outside storage to the facility) and perform other clerical duties as requested. Schedule transfer receiving appointments for all departments Track the transfers from request to receiving and communicate any issues with the buyers. Enters information into computer to prepare correspondence, receipts, or other documents; copying information from one record to another. Verifies purchase orders. Answers telephone and conveys messages to appropriate department/person. Photocopies/ scans documents as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

One to two years related experience and/or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in-one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
