Job Description

As a Bell Dispatcher, you will be at the center of service activity, juggling multiple responsibilities while eliciting quality performance from your teammates. Your welcoming personality and ability to accommodate a diverse clientele will open the door to exciting adventures at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Provides exceptional, courteous, friendly service to guests and employees that differentiates us from the competition. Answers calls from hotel guests for the Bellstand Department. Dispatches available Bell Persons to front desk and/or guest rooms as appropriate. Maintains ongoing efficiency and speed by utilizing proper dispatch procedures. Contact appropriate supervisor on guest related issues or complaints. Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures. Assists employees within the Bellstand department as needed. Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service. Perform related duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: Working knowledge of Bellstand Department including guest safety and OSHA regulatory guidelines. Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office, Outlook and dispatch software. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English. The ability to work effectively with other department employees, guests, and management. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively utilizing Nextel radio system. Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well-groomed manner. At least 18 years of age.

Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous related experience.

Work is performed in an office environment and throughout the property in all locations. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. A casino environment typically allows smoking. Constant contact with executives, department management, applicants, employees and guests is necessary. Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility. Bending and reaching. Transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 25 lbs. Eye/hand coordination. Use of standard office equipment. Basic math. Ability to push and/or pull file cabinet drawers weighing up to 5 lbs. Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
