Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for planning the PO/PB route, loads, unloads boxes and merchandise, maintains truck cleanliness, completes appropriate PO/PB paperwork, and notifies supervisor on rejected merchandise. Provide guidance and support to Helper.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Plans the route daily.
 Loads and unloads boxes and furniture on and off the truck and in and out of vaults. Ensures boxes and furniture are secure, safe and free from additional damage.
 Maintains inventory integrity by properly scanning boxes and furniture from jobsite to truck, truck to vault, vault to truck and truck to jobsite.
 Places boxes and furniture at customer's location as required.
 Maintain 5S's Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain in dock areas including exterior truck wells.
 Notifies customer of expected arrival time prior to arrival.
 Notifies warehouse manager of any issue with delivered product
 Informs customer of repair options for damage merchandise
 Clean, inspect and fuel delivery trucks at the end of each shift.
 Completes paperwork and forwards through appropriate channels including daily log sheets (DVIRs).
 Guides and supports the Helper.
 Authorities as detailed in the Company's Standard Operating Procedures.
 Applies corporate values.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability and/or physical demands required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent.   Licensure:
 Hold an unrestricted driving license in the state in which you will be driving.
 Hold a Class C (chauffeurs) license.
 Have fewer than 3 points on your driving record.
 Have no felony convictions
 Have no driving violations including, but not limited to:
o OUIL/DUI
o Reckless driving
o Refusal to take a chemical test
o Similar driving violations the company deems to be of a serious nature
 Have no accidents which resulted in a serious or fatal injury or significant property damage claim where the driver was found partially or fully at fault or otherwise negligent.   Experience: A minimum of three (3) months of experience as a Helper. Previous Truck Driver experience may be substituted.   Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong knowledge of BK Packoutz and merchandise policies. Good driving record that meets BK Packoutz standards. Strong customer orientation with excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively use power and hand tools. Attention to detail.   WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL ABILITIES: While performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee spends approximately 10% of their day preparing for the route; 20% of their day in a truck, and 70% of their day unloading, loading, moving boxes, furniture and other merchandise. Must be able to ride and/or operate a motor vehicle on a daily basis for extended periods of time; and climb in and out of the vehicle. Frequently operates power and hand tools. Continuously sits, walks, bends, crouches, kneels, climbs (on and off the truck; and stairs), lifts and carries at least one-hundred (100) lbs, pushes, pulls and grips. Occasionally may lift above shoulder level.
