Position Summary
Reporting to the SR. Director of Engineering, the Engineering Project Coordinator will focus on supporting business continuity, project implementation, and data analysis throughout all project phases. The primary objective of this role is to assist the engineering team by understanding, identifying, and improving processes with the goal of meeting timelines through the completion of projects.
The Project Coordinator will have a wide variety of tasks which include but are not limited to; project related administrative duties, procurement of materials, data analysis and training employees on the manufacturing floor. An ideal candidate will have excellent communication and planning skills, sound judgment, creative problem-solving abilities, and the ability to quickly adapt to change.
Position Responsibilities
• Understand project timelines and perform tasks that support the project(s) lifecycles.
• Gather and organize data to report metrics and key performance indicators. Communicates information as needed to appropriate teams.
• Maintain databases, reports, and records that are necessary to support engineering activities.
• Coordinate the tasks between Engineering and Operational departments.
• Coordinate material, hardware, tooling, and documents with Procurement and Operational departments.
• Assist with initial troubleshooting of equipment during the start-up and normalization.
• Support and implement project execution plans.
• Support various administrative tasks including purchase requisition, document management, and completion of the project budget report.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma is required. Some college is preferred. Two (2) years of applicable experience in a manufacturing or engineering role is required. Working knowledge of manufacturing methods, process improvements, problem-solving techniques and procedures is required. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required. Ability to drive to other Olam facilities is required. Ability to create and present required information to internal and external stakeholders in an effective and clear manner is required. Strong attention to detail is required.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively through phone and e-mail correspondence, while maintaining a professional manner is required. Proven ability to facilitate within a team with the ability to influence and manage other internal customers and external suppliers/contractors to ensure the timely success of the project is required. SAP experience is preferred.
