Assists the EVS Manager in managing and supervising EVS Team Members, supporting the Company culture, fostering and maintaining positive team member relations in a supportive environment. Responsible for interacting with other departments to ensure a harmonious working relationship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains a safety program to ensure all team members have a safe work environment. Maintains an inspection program for all EVS responsible areas Maintains the approved preventative maintenance program on all equipment. Conducts inspections on all casino and non-gaming EVS areas daily. Completes necessary reports in a timely manner to meet deadlines. Adhere to standards and operating procedures as outlined in the Rivers Casino EVS Manual. Be familiar with and ensure safe and proper use of all equipment and chemicals. Control supplies and inventory in the department. Frequently update yourself on new products and materials for continuous operational improvement. Conduct the approved departmental training program to ensure all Team Members are properly trained to their assigned task. Ensure all Team Member performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner and appropriate feedback is administered. Fill all reasonable guest requests or place guest in contact with appropriate person for assistance. Adhere to, interpret, support, and explain established company policies and procedures as well as applicable local and state procedures. Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential and proprietary information disclosed by a Rivers Casino entity or by a guest of Rivers Casino. Address Team Member questions and concerns. Develop, implement, maintain, and monitor an effective team member relations program through effective communication Fosters and maintains positive team member relations in a supportive environment and interfaces with other departments to ensure a harmonious working relationship. Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self and subordinates. Conduct and attends all regular departmental meetings as well as other related meetings Ability to adjust or balance the size of staff on a daily basis in order to maximize productivity or control labor costs without sacrificing customer service. Ability to identify circumstances or incidents that require the notification and/or approval of others Frequently update yourself on new products and materials for continuous operational improvement. Proficiently utilizes program to submit, track, and follow-up on work orders Trains employees in proper procedures, cleaning and safety programs All other duties as assigned Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience as an EVS Supervisor or equivalent combination of education and experience from the combined listed above preferred Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing. Must have excellent guest service, interpersonal and organizational skills Excellent communication skills and strong time management skills. Ability to be a TEAM player Must have knowledge and experience in management/supervision High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Ability to do the work of those supervised. Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to operate in Google Suite
Physical and Mental Demands Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Frequently required to stoop, crouch or kneel. Ability to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor. Regularly required to walk, see; use of hands and fingers, ability to feel and reach with hands and arms. Ability to work in a smoking and non-smoking environment
