Job Description

General Responsibilities:

 

1. Provide or co-provide individual and family therapy in home and community settings. (Essential)

2. Provide or co-provide clinical leadership regarding the systemic treatment team at least 2x/week and insuring the appropriate frequency of contact. (Essential)

3. Coordinate or co-coordinate assessment of family issues and priorities. (Essential)

4. Initiate and maintain linkages with schools and other involved agencies and service providers. (Essential)

5. Lead crisis intervention. (Essential)

6. Coordinate referral efforts when discharge is imminent. (Essential)

7. Co-prepare agenda for supervision. (Essential)

8. Monitor record keeping and authorized units remaining, insure that client charts are up-to-date and include all necessary documentation, including documentation of significant incidents within 24 hours as needed (incident reports) and non-billable activities. (Essential)

9. Insure timeliness, quality, and appropriate signatures on treatment plans every 30 days, and daily progress notes handed in weekly. (Essential)

10. Monitor use of all office, a-v & telecommunications equipment (computers, video camera, cell phones, pager, copier). (Secondary)

11. Coordinate resources and information pertinent to client needs. (Essential)

12. Suggest, develop, and co-lead topical workshops, training sessions, and in-services as needed, including at least one presentation per year in mandatory training. (Secondary)

13. Maintain inventory of recreational equipment and insure consistent and proper guidelines for its use. (Essential)

14. Provide on-call services as scheduled, including individual and family support, face to face contact, and facilitation of hospitalizations as needed.

15. Maintain a level of productivity as deemed by the current budget—to include 60% team delivered and 40% individually delivered services.

16. Provide weekly schedules and daily units as requested.

17. Provide appropriate use and documentation of family support dollars to maintain clinical efficacy.

Education & Experience : Therapist I (bachelor’s level) (PREFERRED) Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, rehabilitation, pre-med, theology or anthropology plus 1 year of experience in a *CASSP system program;   - OR- Have 12 college level semester hours in humanities or social services plus 1 year of experience in a *CASSP system program and be enrolled for certification by OMH as a mental health family based worker
