Party City has an excellent opportunity for an analyst that is both proficient and has had success influencing assortment and space decisions resulting in increased sales. The Floor Planner is responsible for analyzing merchandise space, identifying opportunities and delivering insights that support increased performance and drive sales. This position is accountable for delivering high-quality planograms and floor plans that accurately reflect assortment decisions, category strategies, merchandising standards and are able to be executed without issues in the field.
Key Objectives: Provide Valued Insights Optimal Micro and Macro Space Allocation Accurate Planograms, Floor Plans and Store Assignments Adequate Days-of-Supply Space Productivity Sales and Margin Company Profitability
Responsibilities/Deliverables: Effectively utilize JDA tools and reporting to drive sales, margin and overall profitability of our stores Partners with merchants, inventory planning and visual merchandising on all resets, projects and other activities where space analytics, planograms or floor plans are required. This role will negotiate project timelines, ensure that all required inputs are received complete/timely and will escalate issues to their Manager as required. This role will provide presentations to Merchants for your assigned departments, including the development and presentation of analytics. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of cross-functional teams Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices and develop knowledge Participate in the completion of Special Projects as assigned by Manager Actively participate in Merchant Business Review meetings by sharing productivity findings, timelines and field feedback. Analyze SKU productivity on planograms for assigned categories and provide recommendations to the Merchants that identify potential opportunities to improve sales and productivity of space. Recognize and react to gaps in the assortment when completing planograms. Requirements/Qualifications 2 + years of proven and successful experience in Space Management Experience with JDA Space Planning and Category Knowledge base (CKB formerly IKB) modules required Experience with JDA Floor Planning and Assortment Optimization a plus Demonstrated understanding of interior retail design, consumer behavior, product placement, margin recognition and fundamental merchandising techniques Strong Visual Merchandising skills with the flexibility to adapt to Shopper behavior variations across departments and categories. Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work cross-functionally among multiple departments Ability to work and think independently Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written to various levels of corporate and retail management Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
