To provide location-based support and service in the completion of Global Operational Excellence initiatives. To develop and implement processes and procedures to assist the local operations team in the achievement of operational excellence, process improvements and the attainment of world class manufacturing practices. Primary resource and support for the Plant/Facility Manager in developing global operational excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for partnering in and driving development of and implementing daily operational strategies to achieve Global Operational excellence including Kaizen projects and 5S compliance. Responsible for reviewing 5S activities and condition of the plant and development of plans to address the problem areas, setting up improvement plans. Participates in daily manufacturing operations including morning production meetings and the daily Gemba walks, monitoring KPI progress (OEE, Scrap and Customer complaints). Responsible for auditing manufacturing processes and developing responses to abnormal conditions and participates in optimizing processes, taking corrective actions - when necessary-, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Perform all data collection for major plant improvement areas/issues. Analyze data, share trends and working with local plant leadership developing corrective action plans. Ensures compliance with the required standard, identifying and implementing action for process improvement and optimization. Oversees targets and keeps control of high levels of Quality, Safety, and Engineering. Responsible for developing and monitoring continuous improvement projects and working with local leadership to implement the improvement projects. Actively participate in continuous improvement projects. Provide weekly (or more frequent) updates to the SVP, Global Operations and Director, Global Operational Excellence on the plant issues, improvement areas, continuous improvement activities, and other areas. Responsible for training facility employees in continuous improvement techniques, Kaizen, quality processes, and manufacturing processes. Participate in various plant monthly meetings to provide insight, ideas and to participate in the development of specific process improvement plans. Monitor trends to determine the effectiveness of Kaizen and continuous improvement activities by analyzing the impact on established financial and other KPIs, including but not limited to inventory levels, scrap, safety, OEE, etc .

COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS: Good computer skill and good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package (especially of Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Engineering or equivalent education, or five or more years of experience in operational activities or similar positions Previous experience in similar or related or equivalent position in manufacturing plants
