Summary:

It is an exciting time to join ATI as a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) at our Richland, Washington facility. Our Richland Operation specializes in melting Titanium and Titanium Alloys to produce ingots for use in multiple applications in the Aerospace and Medical Markets. This is a day shift position with flexible hours and typically works Monday through Friday. You will report to the HR Manager. This is a great opportunity for a motivated HR Professional to gain richer HR experience in manufacturing facility. The role will be responsible for building strong, trusting relationships with a growing workforce, supporting the operation’s leaders and ensuring policies, procedures and programs are consistent with the mission and vision of ATI.


As an HR Business Partner, support employee relations issues, plant communications, leave of absence, job evaluations and job description development, compensation, compliance reporting and continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures. This position will work on both annual/standardized process as well as ad-hoc requests and projects to provide a high level of customer service to the business. The HRBP will have a strategic mind set, work on change management with leadership and employees and be comfortable working in a sometimes ambiguous environment.


A successful HR Business Partner will quickly grasp ATI’s human resources processes and business culture, be attentive and detail oriented, work collaboratively with multiple teams in different locations and stakeholders, demonstrate excellent composure and self awareness, and possess a continuous improvement mindset. The HRBP will be able to work in a fast paced environment with diverse personalities, have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain harmonious working relationships in a dynamic environment and the ability to express and challenge ideas and convey information effectively in oral and written format.


Additional Responsibilities
• Interpret and apply understanding of ATI policies, programs and practices, employment law, and other regulations to provide advice, guidance, and/or clarification to both employees and leaders.
• Support employee issues related to payroll, benefits, employment opportunities, and other personnel concerns.
• Recommend and administer employee relations practices necessary to build and maintain a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee engagement, morale and motivation.
• Lead efforts with employee communication and feedback through such avenues as company meetings, policies, employee engagement surveys, employee focus groups, and one-on-one meetings.
• Conduct and document investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth or employee disciplinary actions are necessary.
• Support engagement activities which promote and build ATI’s culture, such as coaching on employee development, conducting stay and exit interviews, and providing feedback on potential improvement opportunities when issues are identified.
• Support employee leave requests and audits.
• Work with facility leadership to provide guidance and review in the hourly and salaried performance management process.
• Support other HR functions as needed including special projects and continuous improvement initiatives with an emphasis on integration, standardization and collaboration with the other operations.
• Support and help drive Diversity & Inclusion work for a greater sense of inclusion in the workplace. 

 

 

 

 

 
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree and at least one year of professional Human Resources experience
o In lieu of education, at least three years of experience in a professional Human Resources role
Preferred Qualifications
• PHR/SHRM or HR certification
• Professional human resources experience in an industrial environment
Skills
• Understanding of HR competencies, processes and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Teams, and Power Point at a minimum) required to accomplish day-to-day work activities and willingness to learn additional programs
• HR Systems experience a plus
• Effective interpersonal and
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Exemplary customer service skills
• Project management and organization skills
• Knowledge of protected leave guidelines and federal/state employment laws
