Cleans & disinfects all surfaces within assigned area using approved chemicals
Does whole room thorough cleaning and bed scrubs according to schedule
Cleans & disinfects all restrooms daily and as needed, including floors and bathing rooms
Understands how to use SDS sheets
Uses chemicals per manufacturer's specifications and company policy
Places wet floor signs properly; removes them when floor is dry
Changes mop water per policy and after cleaning isolation rooms or heavily soiled areas
Uses proper body mechanics
Replenishes supply of towels, Toilet Tissue and soap in all areas
Straightens, rearranges furniture; keeps common areas ready for show at all times; assists elders to keep rooms neat and clean and keep down clutter
Maintains clean work area including housekeeping and storage closets
Thoroughly cleans vacated rooms immediately including bed/mattress scrub and wipe down walls; check curtains for soil and launder if necessary; ensures room is ready to show potential elders/families at all times
Moves elder and belongings to new room when transferred within the home
Cleans isolation rooms per policy using proper personal protective equipment
Reports safety issues to supervisor as soon as possible
Wears gloves during cleaning; changes and washes hands per policy after each room
Participates in committees and orientation of new hires
Accurately records all completed assigned areas on flow record
Laundry Responsibilities
Separates, loads, washes & dries articles of laundry
Uses proper washer & dryer settings depending on the type of load
Uses proper infection control procedures for handling of soiled laundry; performs proper hand hygiene when moving from soiled to clean areas
Monitors chemicals usage, replaces chemicals when needed
Processes elder clothing with care taken to maintain in good condition; ensures all clothing is properly marked with elder name
Cleans lint traps, wipe down all equipment and mop floor daily
Correctly weighs and records poundage of laundry
Floor Maintenance Responsibilities

Cleans hallways, common areas and household kitchens as assigned using floor machine or wet mops ½ hallway at a time & places wet floor signs; special attention to corners and edges.
Cleans carpets per schedule and as needed, including manual spot cleaning if necessary
Waxes or top coats all tiled areas per schedule and as needed
Buffs tiled areas per schedule and as needed
Performs top and heavy scrubbing
Mixes chemicals properly per manufacturers specifications
Keeps all equipment clean and in good working order; performs preventative maintenance as scheduled Education/Experience: High School diploma and housekeeping or laundry experience preferred.
