Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the Maintenance Inventory Coordinator will work closely with management, oversee multiple teams, develop and improve existing procedures and policies and work to prevent losses of Hughson Nut Inc (HNI) Maintenance Inventory. This position will work to maintain the maintenance storerooms and ensure the accuracy of inventory records. The Inventory Coordinator will work with procurement, onboard and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) program, compile balance, price and cost reports, and perform weekly counts of all maintenance products. This position will perform all these duties while adhering to the safety principles and procedures required by Olam and HNI. A successful Maintenance Inventory Coordinator should have excellent interpersonal communication skills, a firm grasp of basic computer programs, and an ability to work both independently and in a team. Ideal candidates will have inventory experience as well as mid-level management experience.

 

Position Responsibilities : Serve as the purchasing agent for maintenance department. Collaborate with the procurement department to maintain working relationships with various parts/equipment vendors. Use instrumentation to identify specifications on parts, materials and equipment. Onboard and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) program. Track and maintain accurate inventory levels. Maintain the maintenance storerooms. Control the flow of equipment and supplies. Report to management and advise on process improvements. Coordinate and work with the Control Electronic Management System (OEM) on procuring spare parts for future engineering projects. Develop loss mitigation processes and protocols. Provide training to maintenance staff on inventory related rules and policies. Compile inventory reports. Forecasting future inventory requirements. Responsible for maintaining the company's commitment to providing quality products and services with an emphasis on Employee Safety, Food Safety, Legality and Integrity. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Inventory Specialist Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D is required. Two (2) years' experience in the food manufacturing industry is required. Experience with maintenance related parts and equipment a plus. Valid Driver's license and a clean driving record is required. Will be required to drive company vehicle. Forklift driving experience a plus. Must become a certified Forklift Driver. Excellent organization, time-management, and budget management skills are required. Strong problem-solving skills and desire to be a team player is required. Working knowledge of word processor, database and spreadsheet software is required. Ability to perform and comprehend verbal and written communication in English is required. Be self-motivated with attention to detail and ability to work independently. Ability to work flexible shifts, hours, and overtime when required. Will be required to work at all three HNI facilities Working knowledge of LEAN production methods and 5S is a plus.
