Job Description

WIN Waste Innovations is a waste management company committed to delivering essential waste management solutions to customers and communities supported by our team of 1,900 employees. WIN Waste Innovations is a vertically integrated business with a platform of 50 strategically located collection, transfer and disposal assets. These include waste-to-energy facilities, transfer stations, ash monofills, landfills, and fleets of rail cars and collection vehicles. We process more than 11 million tons of waste annually, converting 6.7 million tons of waste into clean, renewable energy that powers 340,000 homes. We recycle more than 234,000 tons of plastic, paper and metals from the waste stream.

 

The Human Resources Business Partner will lead HR functions at multiple facilities in the accompanying geography. As a dynamic and innovative member of the HR organization, the HRBP will be tasked with providing world class strategic people solutions and guidance to the managers of our WIN Waste's LOB's. The HRBP will be a strong thought leader with the business leadership and will provide strong strategic guidance and support to the team. The HRBP is responsible for fostering and building strong relationships with the facility teams, while being solutions oriented. The HRBP will be a change advocate in a fast paced, dynamic and growing organization. The HRBP must be skilled at managing multi-site locations. Project work, teamwork and collaboration are essential for success in the role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, the jobholder will: Provide strong strategic guidance and HR support to management teams across multi-site geography Must accurately diagnose organization issues, develop solutions, and implement action plans Execute business unit/functional-level strategies to improve organizational health and culture. Lead the talent management strategy, including the talent calibration process, leadership development and training initiatives and facilitating training sessions Provide strong employee relations Serves as an advisor to management for employment related legal issues and ensures local compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws Manage annual HR events and calendar such as annual open enrollment, merit process and annual review process Leads/manages projects and/or participates as a project member

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 7 years of human resources generalist experience Bachelor's degree required, MBA or master's degree in related field preferred Possess & leverage human resources discipline, operational and/or business acumen. Understanding of, and some experience with, most or all core aspects of Human Resources Management (staffing; employee relations; performance management; leadership development; training). Ability to think strategically and translate concepts into actionable items. Must possess consultative style and approach with proven ability to develop credible relationships with business partners. Strong analytical & diagnostic skills. Innovative and creative mindset identifying new ways to solve work problems. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to professionally present their point of view in business situations. Ability to understand the business from both a strategic and tactical perspective. Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision. Strong emotional intelligence
