Job Description

***$2,500.00 SIGN-ON BONUS***

 

Positions Summary: Supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and other workers engaged in preparing and cooking food while managing the day to day operations in the kitchen. 

 

Essential Job Functions: Assists in the preparation of all food items according to standard recipes and menu to ensure consistency of product to the guest Assists in preparing miscellaneous items for preparations to coincide with menus Supervises all back of house kitchen area team members, coordinates, and directs activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel engaged in preparing and cooking foods in the restaurants during assigned shifts Maintains standards of sanitation, kitchen hygiene, and food service techniques and safety Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met All other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age or older

  One to two years of kitchen experience in a high-volume operation Culinary degree or a certificate from a college or technical school or relevant work experience can be substituted

  Must have successfully completed or have the ability to complete and maintain certification in “Serv-Safe” (Food Sanitation Management) Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays



Working Conditions: Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear, see, taste or smell Regularly required to stoop or kneel and stand for long periods of time  Regularly required to move with a sense of urgency, including pivoting and shuffling Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Ability to work in a noisy and smoky environment
