Location: Muskegon, Michigan
Operate Resin Transfer and Reaction Injection Molding equipment for Access Cover production. Operate fiberglass cutting equipment. Operators will be loading of fiberglass material into a heated tool and injecting liquid resin. The fabric fiberglass is placed in a layup sequence into the heated mold (around 200 degrees). The parts shall be finished by trimming flash and sanding edges as necessary. The operator may trim off of the cover using a palm sander and may complete pack and labeling of covers and frames.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Working individually or as part of a team. Keep work area clean and free of trip hazards. Follow schedule presented (May work at a different press every day). Pre-shift equipment and press inspections. Operate RTM and RIM molding machines. Glass layup per work instructions sheet. Re-fill glass and resin as necessary. Mold, trim, inspect and finish parts to meet customer requirements. Perform quality checks per control plan. Inspect and detect defective parts. Maintain cleanliness of general work area. Other duties as assigned. Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement with regard to a safe work environment. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience with fiberglass preferred. Proficiently use measurement tools. Prior compression/injection molding experience preferred. CNC experience a plus, but not required.
