Job Description

Position overview.

This role establishes positive relationships with adult callers who have psychiatric disabilities via telephone service, communicating with supervisors and coworkers as necessary to monitor for successful outcomes.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

•    Receives calls from individuals via telephone providing peer support through the use of reflective listen skills and problem-solving skills.
•    Refers callers to Crisis Intervention when necessary, according to established procedures.
•    Documents calls/outcomes in communication log, per policy and procedure
•    Reviews prior shift feedback at start of shift.
•    Ability to respectfully listen to and communicate with individuals, families, and community members
•    Ability to conduct and present yourself in a professional manner and adhere to typical professional job requirements such as but not limited to training, meeting attendance, etc..

•    Age 18+
•    Lived experience with mental illness
•    Criminal Clearance & Child Abuse Clearance
Successfully complete 27-hour pre-service training program
•    Pass cleared for supervision status (complete 2 good calls, including one problem solving call) within reasonable amount of time, to be determined by Director Warmline Peer Leader and Training Coordinator
