Essential Functions/Duties: Responsible for setting proper master schedules for the manufacturing facility in total and also by oven on a daily basis. Ensures oven schedule at the oven group level and specific ovens are obtainable based on oven performance and product parameters. Ensures all new products or product changes are set up correctly in the materials modules of the ERP system including all process parameters and flag settings. Plays a lead role in ensuring schedule adherence is maintained to support on time delivery performance KPI's. Communicates professionally with customer service, engineering, production, quality, and distribution departments to ensure production plans can be met and resolve issues on a daily basis. Daily release of all work orders to the proper work center on a timely basis. Coordinates and communicates the production requirements and Customer Service metrics to the team at their respective locations. Reviews performance results daily with teams and takes corrective action on all scheduling performance issues. Achieves and maintains a business partnership and active dialogue with external customers and internal partners and planning groups in order to identify changing needs, eliminate performance issues, and fulfill all customer needs and expectations. Partners with plant production personnel to ensure schedules are met daily and on off shifts. Ensures all paperwork is completed daily to ensure real time reporting. Demonstrates complete knowledge of organization's policies, products and/or services.
Required knowledge/skills/ability and other minimum qualifications: BS/BA degree in Business or Engineering with training in materials planning and execution, operations, or production inventory control, or equivalent experience. Familiarity with windows based ERP scheduling. Ability to develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with employees, internal customers and external customers to achieve business objectives. Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal customers and management so that we can effectively communicate their requirements to both internal and external parties. Keep analytical ability to solve complex ERP system issues and resolve supply and demand issues. Strong knowledge of other software such as Excel, Word, Powerpoints and Outlook for the purpose of clear communications and the ability to present staff and customers with verbal and written communications in the proper business form.
Additional Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in materials planning and execution or purchasing preferred. 2+ years of windows based ERP Master Scheduling experience preferred. Proven experience and expertise in process and policy development with a strong orientation to ensuring the same process is followed at all times preferred. APICS certification - CPIM or CSCP preferred.
