JOB PURPOSE: Working as part of a team, production associate completes one or more tasks in the manufacture/assembly of Keihin HEX/HVAC systems. Position assignments include fabrication, assembly, final finish, inspection, packaging, etc.
Skills and Abilities:
Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures. Ability to carry out "Keihin Philosophy" and "5 Joys" Adheres to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned to this position in accordance with ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions. Complies with the work rules and standards set forth in the Keihin Associate Handbook. Assures that interactions with all fellow associates in compliance with all protected rights, policies and provisions. Displays appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings which provides a positive influence on all Keihin associates. Refers to work order or procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function or assignment before commencing work. Assures that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements. Maintains manufacturing proficiency levels to meet plant goals and objectives Performs any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function or assignment. Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites. Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time, depending on the degree of difficulty of their job functions
Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Competencies and Education):
Must possess good dexterity and an education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments and responsibilities of the job. Formal Education; High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Lifetime Experience. Ability to work overtime on short notice.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most documents relating to the job, function or assignment.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems. Ability to deal with a variety of job assignments.
