Raymour & Flanigan Furniture, the largest furniture retailer in the Northeast, is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join the Purchasing/Transportation team at our Liverpool, NY Field Support Center. The ideal candidate will have a service mentality and be cost conscious while performing accurately in a deadline-driven environment. The Purchasing Coordinator will collaborate with the Purchasing Manager, the field based teams in our Retail Showrooms and Customer Service Centers as well as other members of the Field Support team.
Purchasing Coordinator $18.00 hr - schedule needed 8:30am - 5pm Monday - Friday 40 hour work week with occasional overtime as workload requires
Description of Primary Duties: Review daily supply report to assess and replenish inventory levels as needed. Ability to set priorities, work with minimal direction and maintain strong attention to detail, while working on numerous projects simultaneously Develop and build professional and positive relationship with all internal customers and key contacts at suppliers. Manage delivery dates provided by suppliers and address any situation where product will arrive later than requested date. Communicate to Operations, Sales, and Customer Care of any delivery dates that do not support customer requirements. Review and process vendor invoices and assign monthly spending to correct organization that purchased supplies. Ensure proper matching of purchase orders with vendor invoices and work with suppliers on any quantity or price discrepancies Ability to research new sources for supply items as needed. Accurately enter data in various tracking spreadsheets. This role acts as a backup to our mail coordinator, so will at times handle mail sorting and campus delivery.
Requirements Have exceptional communication and organizational skills Microsoft Office skills are essential Have experience tracking shipments Have experience working in an administrative office environment Prior business administration experience is desirable. Possess excellent attention to detail Minimum High School or GED education
