The Sales Engineer role at O.C. Tanner is a key player in our most important enterprise sales opportunities. If you can tell a great story and love to solve customer problems, you could be a good fit. You will take complex customer requirement and share creative, impactful solutions during virtual and in-person demos. You'll translate technical concepts and unique industry language for non-technical buyers. As a technical jack-of-all-trades, your knowledge will be broad and sometimes stretched. You'll be part of a dynamic team and will be frequently recognized as a critical player in the growth of our 90+ year old company.
Duties: Deliver compelling demos of O.C. Tanner's Culture Cloud to enterprise prospects and clients. Take the lead in technical discovery throughout the sales process. Quarterback information security and technical evaluations. Bring industry knowledge, strategy, and strong technical aptitude to team sales. Meet with product and engineering to understand roadmap and share customer insights. Manage product sandbox accounts for internal demo use and customer testing/evaluation Use tools like: Consensus, Zoom, PPT, etc. to elevate our technology and help advance the sale. Train non-technical sales reps on O.C. Tanner technologies. Plan for 30% travel (post-covid). Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Expert presenter with executive presence and the ability to command an audience during a demo. Strong business acumen and ability to weave business value into a technical demo. Desire to step outside a basic technology demo to show an incredible buying experience. Confidence presenting to executives and large committee, fielding questions from expert technologists and HR leaders. (Preferred) Strong understanding of the HR technology landscape: HRIS/HCM, payroll, performance, etc. General knowledge of SaaS, API's and enterprise software integration practices, and enterprise technology. Technical aptitude and desire to learn. You'll be easing the minds of prospects across a wide range of technical topics that we don't expect you to understand just yet. Desire to work globally. As a global organization you may talk with European and Australian buyers as often as you do Californians.
Experience & Education: 3+ Years of Sales Engineer Experience Preferred Bachelor's Degree Preferred
