Senior DevOps Engineer
Active Sports Inc. is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and help drive our retail business to the next level. Our company operates multiple e-commerce sites, physical retail stores, online marketplaces and warehouses to support a growing portfolio of retail and proprietary brands. This unique opportunity will give you the responsibility to work close with a small agile team and help drive IT and development operations across the organization. This role will focus mainly on dev ops, but will also require supporting the development and IT teams.
Job Responsibilities Work with Senior Management and other departments to build a team and drive the network and IT ops strategy for the company Build/Manage/Optimize multiple enterprise systems and networks built on AWS, GCP, 3p managed cloud and on-prem Build/Manage real-time monitoring solutions across the entire network stack using tools like Grafana and New Relic Manage CI/CD workflow for deployments Manage/Optimize multiple MSSQL and MYSQL clusters Manage/Optimize network security strategy Work with the team to monitor, troubleshoot network issues Build/Optimize .Net/Angular/Node applications and automation
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 6+ years of relevant technical experience. Advanced/Expert level understanding of AWS and cloud network management AWS certification a plus Advanced level understanding of: AWS cloud (VPC/EKS/RDS/Lambda/DynamoDB/Kinesis/cloudfront/s3/WAF/etc) Docker/Kubernetes/Helm (AWS EKS) Infrastructure as code (Terraform,Pulumi,etc) .Net Core application CI/CD (azure dev ops, AWS codebuild, Jenkins) MSSQL and MySQL database administration Linux administration Windows administration Network security and best practices Experience with: .Net Framework and .Net Core apps Solr, C#, Angular, Node js BDD/TDD practices IP networking, VPNs, VPC, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, security groups/policies PCI/SOX compliance Working with 3 rd party vendors and agile project management Mentoring/Training best practices of cloud/CI-CD/network principles Building a team and motivating employees Managing retail/warehouse related systems, networks and applications Passionate about new tech and keeping up with trends/best practices Self-driven and motivated to develop, track, execute and complete personal and team goals Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexible work schedule.
