As Sr. Restaurant Manager in the Employee Dining Room, you will have the satisfaction of overseeing all aspects of a polished yet unpretentious dining arrangement and creative food & beverage program. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Day to day oversight of the entire operation for the respected outlet driving quality standards, implementing standard procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction. Responsible for scheduling, ordering, receiving, payroll, P&L management, and forecasting. Play an integral role in controlling food and labor costs on a continual basis to ensure the outlet is reaching/exceeding its monthly goals. Maintain a safe and professional work environment at all times. Responsible for knowledge of menu items and ingredients, functions of service employees. Handle guest complaints in a timely fashion and implement solutions to minimize complaints. Document incidents and events involving guests or employees accurately and in detail. Assist with the hiring, coaching/counseling, termination of employees in their respected outlet. Provide all employees with proper training and counseling as needed in accordance with hotel policies and procedures. Comply with all company policies, procedures and guidelines. Ensure that all rules, regulations, and procedures are complied with by employees under supervision. Responsible for knowledge of how other departments relate to the operation you directly oversee, and interact with them when necessary to coordinate activities or correct problems. Maintain professional grooming and appearance, and acts as a role model according to established grooming and appearance policy. Participate in departmental and venue meetings, facilitating the flow of pertinent information from management to employees. Assist management in other matters as requested. Ensure a safe working environment for employees. Promote teamwork amongst employees. Must provide courteous and friendly service to all vendors and employees. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: At least three (3) years of high volume restaurant/food service management experience, preferably in a senior leadership role. At least one year of experience managing a team under a Collective Bargaining Agreement. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook as well Stratton Warren inventory ordering system, Infogenesis point of sale and Avero. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Work effectively with other departments and guests. Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents. Polished appearance and demeanor. Excellent customer service skills. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to successfully lead and mentor a team. Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules policies, procedures and state & federal regulatory requirements. At least 21 years of age.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Management or a related field. Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting. Experience managing employees using a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
