Job Description

Job Summary 

The Supply Chain Data Analytics Specialist will support core processes and strategic initiatives by analyzing data, preparing reports, performing research, and building tools, all with the goal of driving better decision making and more effective operations. This position will be highly collaborative, working cross-functionally with other departments including all areas of Supply Chain. This role requires a proactive and organized professional who takes ownership of his/her responsibilities and willingness to help in other areas within the organization.  Our Supply Chain Data Analytics Specialist will report to the Lead of Data Analytics as a part of the Financial Planning and Analysis Department.

 

Successful candidate will have strong knowledge of and a proven track record in data governance, project management, problem solving, and analytics. Exposure to at least one of the following supply chain areas is highly desired: Data Analytics, Supply Chain Planning, Transportation Management, Manufacturing, and/or Risk Analysis.

 

Key Responsibilities  Organize, explore, and synthesize unstructured data into actionable insights to support modeling and operational needs Challenge the status quo and help guide entrepreneurial innovation in both analytical products and the curation of new data sources elevating analytics beyond data reporting to the delivery of actionable insights Manage integrity of data throughout Supply Chain and improve current data processes Support strategy for supply chain data and analytics transformation journey Sustain cross-functional master and transactional data design related to advanced planning capabilities and business rules for data accuracy/consistency Direct engagement with project team members in leading and coordinating IT architecture that enables data quality reporting as well as business processes that support data readiness

Required Skills & Desired Knowledge Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, MBA or equivalent 3-5 years of relevant experience in quantitative analytical roles managing large and complex systems data sets and building statistical models, and is proficient with the following software/tools: MS Access; Data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau, Qlik Sense); Data querying tools (i.e., SAP BO/Business Intelligence) Programming tools (i.e. R, Python) Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills required in order to effectively interact with all teams, areas, and levels of business Ability to work independently in managing multiple projects and initiatives to meet firm deadlines Demonstrated proficiency in data governance and master data preparation Experience with SAP / APICS certification is preferred Excellent communication skills with strong persuasion and influencing abilities Recognized self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment and seeks the challenge of winning in a rapidly changing marketplace Ability to effectively share technical information, communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of business Strong passion for answering complex business questions using structured problem solving and rigorous data analysis Must be detail oriented when necessary with ability to assess the bigger picture and take a strategic view accordingly.
