ATI is a global manufacturer of technically advanced specialty materials and complex components. Our products support diverse markets and industries such as aerospace and defense, oil & gas, electrical energy, medical, automotive, and other industrial markets.

 

We are seeking to hire a Supply Chain Specialist for ATI's Specialty Materials business unit. This position will support an aerospace additive manufacturing facility based in New Britain, CT. This facility, and the products produced in it, are on the cutting edge of additive manufacturing technology.

 

As a supply chain specialist this position will be responsible for tactical and strategic aspects of the supply chain function for the New Britain facility. This will include supplier coordination, customer orders and specifications, pricing, shipping/receiving, supply chain optimization, and material management. This position will give broad exposure to the supply chain function with a high degree of visibility within the Specialty Materials organization.

 

 

A successful Supply Chain Specialist will quickly grasp ATI’s processes and business culture, successfully balance multiple projects at various stages with limited supervision in a fast-paced, competitive environment, analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and timely thru the implementation of long-term solutions, and possess a strong continuous improvement mindset.

 

Additional Responsibilities  Follow up with vendors to ensure that purchase orders are completed on time. Work with suppliers to determine pricing, lead-time and on-time delivery for all purchased products. Work with the operations team to ensure that vendor certifications are completed to specification. Lead business process development, transformation, and change management in a dynamic growing technology Ensure the appropriate levels of stock are available in the facility for consumables, material, etc. Work with other ATI business units to ensure transfer of information as required. Provide regular updates on progress and open quality actions to management, colleagues, and customers in the form of written reports. Create any necessary paperwork to facilitate all purchases for plant Work with suppliers and NBO technical team and vendors to facilitate any technical issues with parts in the supply chain Support operations and management team to forecast incoming shipments for production planning Provide administrative support to open Accounts Payable items with finance

 

 

 
 Basic Qualifications

  4-year College Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience Minimum of 2 years working in an office environment coordinating various tasks as business conditions require.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing environment in either an office or shop floor role. Supply chain or manufacturing operations experience is preferred

Skills

  Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Power Point at a minimum) required to accomplish day-to-day work activities and willingness to learn additional programs. Sufficient knowledge of company, products, objectives and operations. Epicor, Oracle, Maximo, etc. experience a plus.   Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Effective interpersonal, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management and prioritization skills.
