Primary Purpose:

 

Working independently and with increasingly limited supervision, support and assist Treasury with business operations, carrying out necessary daily tasks. With the ability to self-train and maintain a high degree of accuracy, support Treasury team and department managers with operational and clerical tasks as needed. Maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Operations Provide operational support to Cash Management for project related tasks. Perform debt and investment SOX tie outs validating monthly balances Perform investment report reconciliation to ensure receipt of agreed upon returns Assist in the management the funding of Sempra Foundation contributions Support the team on various special projects requiring advanced skills creating presentations and project reporting. Work with Corporate Finance to track costs associated with bond deals, loans, and other transactions Prepare wire requests for debt service payments as they become due. Create and maintain accompanying files and documents. Prepare monthly accrual for Corporate Finance, communicating with the team and other departments as necessary. Develop and maintain productive working relationships both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate daily operations and ongoing business. Receive & track vendor invoices and submit to AP, process and approve vendor invoices in SAP, subsequently track and confirm payment. Communicate with vendors for account management and payments, escalating inquiries as needed. Manage the delegations of authority to Treasury team; work with Corporate Governance and SDG&E and SoCal Gas teams to update delegations of authority, as necessary. Monitor and update SEC/CPUC/BOD debt authority files for Sempra, SDG&E, and SoCal Gas. Support Corporate Finance team with tasks related to letters of credit, including entering new letters of credit and amendments into the ERM SharePoint site and obtaining application signatures.

Administrative Perform clerical functions including maintaining files, composing and reviewing documents as necessary, ordering supplies
Coordinate and schedule meetings for Treasury Review and approve timesheets Support department management including booking travel, preparing expense reports, and coordinating IT support. Assist with onboarding of new hires in the department including workstation placement, ordering equipment, and coordinating communication with appropriate departments.

Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Qualifications: 4+ years of related experience required. Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.
