Position Reports To: Creative Director and/or Senior Designer
Position Summary: The Video Production Intern will assist with the creation of customer-facing video content intended to showcase Brady products, how they are easy to use, how they are superior to alternatives and how they can help customers do their jobs in better more efficient ways. Video work will be used online, in email, in social media and in the hands of Brady salespeople to introduce products and move customers through the sales process, from consideration to purchase. The Video Production Assistant will participate in story creation, story boarding, shoot production, post-production editing and application of animation packages to finished video. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Learn how to manage the production process including concept, storyboarding, camera and gear set up, lighting, footage capture, editing, motion graphics,
voice over, post production, audio tracks, file management on public-facing sites (YouTube) and internal Digital Asset Management tool, analytics and performance tracking Participate in review and approval process handling edits requested by Brady teams to maximize effectiveness of finished video In coordination with Brady Creative Services Team and potentially third-party suppliers, attend video production shoots during normal business hours and handle
post production work both inside and outside normal business hours (total 8-20 hours per week) Manage backend administration, including converting video and audio files into various formats and uploading to multiple platforms. Prioritize customer needs based on multiple business objectives from internal stakeholders Work with speed and accuracy in an agile environment to accommodate fast turn-around Coordinate with video, design and marketing peers in globally-distributed offices Consult with internal stakeholders on video approach and persuade stakeholders to embrace recommended creative approach Take direction and implement improvements from peers, superiors and stakeholders Gain experience arranging all stages of video production process Pivot frequently between customers, industries, segments and product categories inside a varied business representing more than 50,000 products Learn how to manage supplier relationships including third party suppliers, vendors, image processors and translators Be a steward of brand guidelines with passion for consistency and growing investment in branding across the organization Learn how to build a brand roadmap which enhances and elevates the brand video and experience over time
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities A curious mind and a relentless drive to create outstanding, world-class work Independent thinking with a strong point of view Working toward a Degree in Video Production or a related field of study Ability to (learn how to) connect strategy to video and ideas Current and active participation in a secondary education video production program High-competence knowledge of video and audio equipment, specifically 4K DSLR-based get Familiarity with social media video production in addition to more technical content Familiarity with video created for the purpose of promoting and selling a product Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite software for video and audio workflows Ability to travel to Brady buildings and other shoot locations in Milwaukee Ability to showcase video portfolio and discuss details of responsibilities throughout Ability to manage multiple projects in a team-driven environment Ability to independently transport camera and lighting equipment (ability to lift 50 lbs.) Ability to concept and advocate for new techniques and approaches to elevate the brand, while advocating for consistency in format and brand guidelines A drive to learn a strategic approach to video, and apply thinking and learnings to inform brand strategy, messaging, and concepts A demonstrated love of learning, always seeking to stay current on video practices specifically in the industrial product category through organizations, publications
